Press Release Body: Hemopet/Pet Life-Line, the country's largest nonprofit animal blood bank and unique rescue-donor-adoption program, will be featured in the premier episode of the new Animal Planet Television Network series "Petfinder," on Saturday, February 9 at 9:00 pm (ET/PT). The 13 half-hour series of episodes helps prospective adopters reach out to the local animal community and assists them in determining the type of pet that best suits a family's needs and lifestyle. The show is hosted by celebrity dog trainer Dina Zaphiris and wildlife expert Jarod Miller, who has appeared on such shows as "The Rachael Ray Show" and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Each program will feature a family that is shown how to care for and integrate their chosen pet into their daily lives. The first episode follows the newly engaged couple, Divinity and Greg, as they look for another pet to add to their home. Each wants to search for a completely different animal. Divinity grew up with Great Danes, but she is also drawn to exotic animals and wants to take this opportunity to adopt a non-traditional pet. Greg is searching for a companion pet for Nesta, his 12-year-old dog. Program hosts Miller and Zaphiris help the couple find the right animal that fits both of their choices. They end up at Hemopet in Garden Grove where they adopt a greyhound out of 200 rescued greyhounds that are housed and cared for at the facility. The couple is educated on how to care for a greyhound and they then take the dog home.
